Cornelia Marie,
for whom the vessel was named, resides in Anchorage, Alaska and has worked in the fishing business since 1979. She handles the daily business for the F/V Cornelia Marie and works aboard the boat every summer out of Bristol Bay where it serves as tender for the yearly salmon run.Owner and Captain
Phil Harris
has captained the F/V Cornelia Marie for 16 years. After thirty years of crab fishing, he still loves the challenge of filling the crab pot. Murray W. Gamrath, III,
from sunny Las Cruces, New Mexico, has fished the frigid Bering Sea since 1980. Murray has worked on the F/V Cornelia Marie intermittently since 1990 as deckhand, engineer, and relief skipper.Dave Millman
travels from Kona, Hawaii to crab fish every season but was raised in Alaska. He grew up in the fishing industry aboard his father’s boat, the F/V Four Daughters, out of Kodiak, Alaska. Dave has been a deckhand with the F/V Cornelia Marie since 2001.Jake Harris,
Captain Harris’s younger son from Seattle, Washington, serves as deckhand beside his father on the F/V Cornelia Marie for a second season. In the summer Jake fishes halibut aboard another vessel, and he has fished cod with his grandfather, Grant.Josh Harris,
from Seattle, Washington, Captain Harris’s oldest son, serves on the F/V Cornelia Marie and is new to the boat. He works under his younger brother as bait boy. hails from Blaine, Washington. An engineer, he is new to the F/V Cornelia Marie and her crew this season, but has served on fishing vessels for years.Roger Jensen,
from Seattle, Washington, has fished the Bering Sea since 1985. He was hired by the F/V Cornelia Marie in 1991 and has worked as deckhand, engineer, and relief skipper. Roger holds numerous licenses within the fishing industry, making him an invaluable asset aboard the boat.
