HEY DARCI……………IT WAS SAD TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR”ENCOUNTER WITH CAPT.? PHIL. IF HE WAS WELL ENOUGH TO EAT AT A RESTAURANT, HE SHOULD BE ABLE TO SMILE AND SAY HI!! HE THINKS HE’S A “STAR” AND I WONDER WHEN HIS 15 MIN. OF FAME ARE OVER HE WILL WISH “ANYONE” WILL WANT TO SAY HI.

  3. Darci Says:

Hi there! I love the show and watch it every chance I get. Cornelia Marie and Capt. Phil were one of my favs. I was very sad to see him become afflicted with the blood clots. I know that is going to bring on some changes in his life. My husband and I were in Vegas not too long ago and were eating dinner when Captain Phil and another gentleman came in to the restaurant we were at. I was so excited to see him, but I didn’t want to bother him and his friend while they were eating. We asked the waiter if it was possible to go up to Captain Phil and say hi, or if they had been instructed to ask people to leave them alone. Our waiter said it was fine to say hi, and with much coaxing from my husband I went up and said ‘Hi.’ I was so nervous, and unfortunately Phil was not receptive at all. I was sooooooo disappointed. His friend was very nice and I think he was trying to make up for the lack of friendliness. I understand Phil’s going through a rough time with his health, and I don’t want to change anyone’s view of Captain Phil, but if you don’t want to be approached in public-make it known. Or at least fake kindness. I’m sure being famous is tiresome.
Anyway, I got a picture with him and he looks completely put out to even be there.
I’m sorry Captain Phil that you are not happy, I hope that things work out for you. Good luck in the future.

  4. KAZ & STU Says:

G’DAY PHIL, WHAT CAN WE SAY, YOUR AN ABSOLUTE LEGAND. WE ARE FROM AUSTRALIA AND ARE PLANNING COMING TO MEET YOU. WE ONLY GET YOU ONCE A WEEK FOR AN HOUR, BUT MY GOD, FAIRDINKUM, ITS AN AMAZING SHOW. YOU AND YOUR LOVELY BOYS AND THE CREW, DO A BRILLIANT JOB. FANTASTIC!! YOU HAVE TO GET BETTER AS THE SHOW IS NOT THE SAME WITHOUT YOU AND YOUR BOYS ARE NOT THE SAME. LOVE YOU ALL TO BITS, YOU HAVE AN ENOURMOUS FAN CLUB OUT HERE, BUT YOUR JUST SO EASY TO ENJOY. GET WELL AND STAY SAFE, LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR RETURN. CHEERS FROM DOWN UNDER!!! PS. YOUR A GREAT MAN!!!!!

  5. Chantel Says:

    Hi Phil,
I have been watching the show from the beginning also and i love it. I look forward to the new season. I am utterly amazed at how well all of you deal with the roughness and complicatedness of your job. I think you guys all deserve a huge round of applause cause you are out there risking your lives (not just to make money), but also so people can have the luxury of eating crab! I just think all of you are amazing! I am also very glad to hear that you are feeling better health wise. You are the type of guy who thinks about his crew first then himself, well Phil, I think it is definately time to start thinking about yourself. You have already done a GREAT job with raising your sons and they are old enough to take care of themselves so you need to keep up your health so we can all enjoy watching you as the Captain of the Corneilia Marie, it is not the same without you in the wheelhouse.

  6. LINDA IN NEW JERSEY Says:

    HEY PHIL,
LOOKING FOREWARD TO A NEW SEASON OF THE DEADLIEST CATCH. FOR US EAST COASTERS ,CAN YOU TAKE SOME PICTURSE AND KEEP US UP TO DATE ON THE FALL CRABBING? THANKS SO MUCH AND I HOPE YOUR ALL SAFE AND WELL AND HAVE A GREAT SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Carol Says:

    Hey Capt Harris,
Hi my name is Carol, I am a 38 yr old Aussie who has watch Deadliest catch from day one and have loved every minute of it. I only just saw the episode that showed the x-ray of your lungs literally 5 mins ago and had to get on line to see if you were ok. I see from the blogs that you are kinda ok but watching your health.
I now sorta what you are going through you see 2 years ago I was diagnosed with dilated Cardiomyopathy and had to give up a career that I loved I was a chef but with my heart ejection fraction only at 20% I can never cook for a living again.
I hope that you can go back to fishing as the show would not be the same without you so get fully well and I hope to see you back on board Cornelia Marie next season. Lose the ciggies and the red bulls that should help A LOT!!
Jake and Josh quit stressing you dad so much especially you Jake I would have thrown you in to the harbor and taken the flat screen straight back to the store, I hope you realize how lucky you guys are to have such a forgiving father. I have a 16 yr old son and a 14 yr old daughter and when they saw that episode they couldn’t believe how disrespectfully you were. All they said to me is that was so very wrong and selfish.
Captain Harris my prayers and thoughts are with you,get well and stay well.

  8. Robert & Nina Says:

    AHOY THERE MATEY!
We are from the other extreme part of the world, the South Pacific, New Zealand. Yep, we watch your show down these ways too.
Unfortunately, it has taken this long for the episode of you Phil, falling ill. We were so concerned, we had to google you immediately.
We have been avid fans from the very first season and think highly of you, your crew and the entire fleet on the show.
Your relationship with your sons is something many fathers should aspire to, however, you must remember to take care of your health and your own well-being too.
All the best for the future Phil and happy crabbing!
Your biggest fans from NZ -Rob & Nina
    Sweet bro!

  9. LYNDSEY Says:

Hi there Phil. Here in england we saw the episode showing you becoming sick only last night. I have been so upset all day until I could check on the web that you were ok. wishing you a full and speedy recovery. Try not to upset your english fans or your family with any more scary problems. I think the program is fantastic. love to all. lynz

  10. Donna Marie Says:

I just wanted to tell you I love the show and think you and your crew are awesome! Stay safe and layoff some of the redbull!
    Take care!

  11. Cornelia Says:

    Hi !

It is pretty obvious witch is my favorite boat in the fleet when you see my name. Just wanted to say hey to all the crew, and let you know that you are watched in Croatia too. It is little unreal for us when we see how cold it can get over there, considering that I live on Adriatic coast and do not see winters like that ever! Wish you the guys all the best!

  12. Michelle from Minnesota Says:

Hi Phil, I have been watching Deadliest Catch from the beginning and want to say what an awesome show it is- I know you don’t think so, but you make the show! I’m sure you have heard thousands of well wishes, but I was so glad to see the interview with you on Youtube. I have been waiting and wondering about your health issues and am very glad to hear things are getting better. I hope you will be able to return to fishing soon! Please take care of yourself- LOVE YA! Michelle from Minnesota

  13. Terri Says:

Hey Capt. Phil, my hubby spent 22 years as a chief petty officer submarine nuclear tech in the Navy and I was wondering if you think you could live aboard a submarine for 6 months? LOL, I don’t think he could ever do your job! Have you ever been aboard a sub?

Oh and I am a medical assistant and if I hear you say that you had a pulmonary ‘aneurysm’ one more time………

You had an embolism! Seriously though I am glad that you are feeling better. Everyone needs a wakeup call now and then and I guess that was yours. now take care of yourself and that’s an order!

    Terri & John Stevens

  14. Theresa Says:

Hey Capt Phil. I’m 54 yrs old and from Canada. I never ever miss any of the shows on TV. Will you be joining the crew for a new season? I really think you should lay off the redbull though..lol That stuff will kill you. I know from watching that your job is a very stressful, sleepless and edgy. When I watch the program I feel that I know all the crew personally and along with the rest of the captains on the other boats. I’m happy and relieved that you are doing better. I watched “After the catch” and saw you there with the guys and you looked good. Please stay that way. Tell Jake not to buy anymore flat screens..lol Did he ever pay you back for that??? or did you dock it off his pay??lol I would of kicked his butt. I hope to see you again in the new season. Please take care of yourself. We need you around.

  15. Jessica Says:

  16. Alicia Pepper Says:

Hey glad he’s going somewhere and having some fun…but Texas…I’d stay in Seattle or wherever in WA. where he lives. My dad says there are lots of emos there. Well, Phil get better even though you’re probable pretty damn tired of hearing that from everyone constantly. That’s enough to make anyone go insane you know.
