dear phill..love the show ..your the anchore that kept me watching i hope to serve under you but if its not gods will let me serve your sons in your honorand i pray you live long enoughf to make us all wish we had studdied computors i havent your strenghth but i have your love for the sea and you have my constant prayors i want a drink aftor a record seasonand to get to know the multi genaration legeng you have become and to follow as along as im able in the crowded footprint wich follow yopurs across the deck to each and every season we are blessed with and the thought that we can or have left our mark on the fishing grounds and the final fire will see us gloriouse in our effortsand a hope i have brought mine int the shining of my hopes as you have with your two fine sons whom i hope to serve….your one hellava man capt phill hope if nothing else than to meet you

dear captain phill and sons and owner operator of the corneilia marie..my name is richard hesse im a poor man in the state of georgia who has struggled throughout the years to provide for my family and thats all i have… we have been well but its a constant struggle i have a bad hip a bad back and a super strong will i endure becouse i beleave in my family i endure becouse i was raised not to fail the crew and i endure becouse im the only hope my family has ..im strong as an ox i pull my own weight when others cower and i only fear failure i beg of you give me aq season or two on your vessel i promise not to fall short at exspence of all that i am and my pride wich is deep rooted i will serve you and your crew well i may have but a few seasons in me but they will be gloriouse and proude to serve with such a crew as your sons and a fine shipjust 2 seasons is more than id hope to make in 10 years hereand i owe it to myself to prove my cause which is family food and security ”i hope to grow old with my kids as you do with yours and a hope you poot dust long before you pass but you know where im coming from all i know is my family has needs and i will provide as you have all your life please give me a chance to earn and proove my salt thank you yours truly and live long and grey gracefully your friend richard hesse

I am so glad to see that you are doing well Phil. You remind me alot of my father who passed away too young. Remember that you are more important to those boys then fishing. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Oh and good work on two good looking and hard working boys!

Dear Phil,I am glad to hear you are doing better. Being out at sea with a blood clot had to be a very scary experience. I missed you on the boat the last couple of episodes, but it is very apparent just how much you care for your sons and crew members. I love the sea and all of her different moods but at the same time I respect her also. I live in southern Alabama where Hurricane Katrina came through, and I can’t imagine a Hurricane with snow and ice. I have worked with patients on the medication you were talking about on the show and I understand just how serious it is, but I hope the your health will continue to get better and maybe one day return to the Cornelia Marie. I am hooked on DC it does not matter if it is a rerun I will still watch it. I know alot of women have told you that you rock, so keep on smiling at the camera. And I bet ten years ago you never thought you would never have a film crew on your boat. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your sons. Take care of yourself.

I am so glad to hear that you are okay an all is going accordingly….I was brought to tears when you went to the hospital and found out what was wrong..It scared not only myself but my Son also…Sitting here thinking what are we going to do if we loose you…You may not know it but You, Jake, Josh and the crew of The Cornelia Maria have become a big part of a lot of lives here an around the world….You have touch so many lives and worry everyone that has come to care for you..We watch every episode of Deadliest catch an even the re-runs and sit on pins and needles waiting for the next season…So please take care and listen to the doctors even though you may not like it..Shoot..I don’t know of anybody that likes doctors…But this time the doc knows best….Looking forward to the season finale…..Hope to see you there….

So in closing I’m sending some Southern Love with a big ‘ole’ Southern Hug…..
