Dear Phil,
I'm happy to hear your feeling better...you gave me quite a scare! I was so worried about you! Seeing you in the Capt's chair, coughing up blood was nail-biting! You looked like hell. I used to live in Port Orchard WA and I'm sick over the fact I can't go and meet you this weekend! I'm hoping my dad who is still there will get to see you! I never miss an episode, and I even enjoy watching the re-runs! I recently quit smoking ( 1pk a day ) and pray you can too. I hope with all my heart you can return to the Bering Sea, I know it is your true love!
I've never tried crab....it creeps me out. BUT....I would definitely eat it if was caught on the CM....and served by you! That would be awesome! Stay well, so you can return to my fave crabbing boat and crew!

I loved the prop wash story!! When I joined the navy way back when, my first leaving harbour routine I was told to run down to the engine room quickly and get a bucket of steam! I hurried down there with no time to spare as I was honoured to be given this task as a new ordinary seaman! It was only after I looked the Chief Engineer in the eye and said, "My petty officer asked me to come down here and retrieve a bucket of steam chief". He looked me in the eye and said, "tell him we ran out". On my way back up I wondered how a ship which runs on steam can run out of...then it hit me! Of course I was also the brunt of another joke about going to get a "sky hook" as well! Being a rookie can be allot fun eh! Rock on Cornelia Marie and God Bless Captain Phil! He is the best crabber out there!
