Hope you are feeling better. You have a lot of people who are holding you close in prayer for you and your family.
If you're hoggin' it on your hog, safe journey. Safe Journey also for the Cornelia Marie while she's on the sea.

Hello from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Hey Phil, it's great that your recovering, hopefully the blood thinner do the trick. My grandmother died at a very young age when a clot entered her heart. The body is an amazing piece of work, but also very fragile. Take care and get better soon. You are a great person with a great attitude, I really enjoy watching you on tv. And I too enjoy Red Bull!!

I'm very addicted to the Deadliest Catch, never miss an episode, it's an awesome thing Discovery Channel has put together so that the rest of us can see what you guys go through so that other can feast on fantastic crab. And what it's like on the Bering Sea. I live in a place with similiar winter condition, just not close to an ocean. We get the -30F temps with massive wind chill.

And Seattle, WA, great place to live, I'm American but now live in Canada. Many of my roots are from Seattle, my grandfather was born there, I still have many distant cousins living there, and I have a long line of fishermen in my family. My great-grandfather came from Sweden and settled in Seattle. So say "hi" for me to captains Jonathan Hillstrand and Sig Hansen, from one Scandanavian to another.

Keep up the great work, wish I could perform such a job!!

Take care,
Jill.

Dear Phil:
So very glad to hear that you are following the doctors orders, taking your meds, staying out of trouble so that you will be back on the boat next season. One of the episodes had me laughing so hard and I hope you were able to catch it this year when you were at home. It was of Jake "pole dancing" on the CM and the crew were cheering him on. Now I have connections to obtain a "real" pole that dancers once used in a city of 60 thousand just south of Seattle, that Jake can set up in his bedroom and dance to his hearts content, hahaha. Just let me know and I will start things moving with the code enforcement officers of this city and get Jakie his Pole!

Best of everything, and take care of yourself.

Phil, Please take care of yourself and do exactly what the doctors are telling you to do. Your sons would not want to lose you. I lost my father in April 16th 1982 and I still to this day understand what it is to be with out a father... You are one of the very best crabbing captains that is on Deadliest Catch fer sure :-)

Please tell your sons to make sure that you keep in the regiment of taking very good care of your self and quitting smoking and trying your very best to be stress free. In my opinion Deadliest catch wouldn't be what it is today if you wern't there. God Bless you and your family... I'll pray that you get better and stay around long time for your sons...

        Your Buddy,
           Sam J. Presley

Dudes!
Phil - nothing more can be said that hasn't been already. Keep doing what the doc says and I truly hope you can go back to the Cornelia Marie. I was disabled 7 years ago (am 42) and am unable to do anything of the things I love. It's been a hard row to hoe, but I'm getting there. I'm learning new skills, new hobbies, new ways to entertain myself. So I *know* the fear, the lost feeling, the wondering and projecting into the future. I KNOW.

From what little we see on the show, you have the strength, the intelligence, the fortitude and the ingenuity to get through anything life throws at you. Trust me.

Never stop researching for better answers to the thrombosis problem. New therapies are coming out all the time for all health problems.

Josh - You are a *fine* (fine, not f.i.n.e.) looking man! Your strength of character and caring show through and trust me, your dad knows exactly what you're made of - regardless of him being on board or not.

Jake - Keep the sense of humor. It'll serve you well. I wish we knew more what pranks you pull!

To all of you! - I'd try to be the first to buy a calendar of DC Ink. Photos of the more "mixed company appropriate" tats you guys have. I'd bet the 3 of you have enough for 12 months alone! (I wouldn't mind some of the less appropriate tats too!)
